Your Biggest Dreams Aren’t Impossible—They’re Just Waiting for Your First Step
Mar 18, 2025
Have you ever had a big, bold idea that lit a fire in your soul… only to feel it shrink the moment you tried to figure out how to make it happen?
In 2014, I had one of those ideas.
I decided I wanted to run my very own solo event.
No borrowed stage. No guest appearance.
My stage. My message. My room.
I had been speaking for years, coaching clients, creating impact—but something inside me whispered, Create your own stage. And as soon as that whisper turned into a vision, I knew I wanted it more than anything.
But then the doubts arrived.
Where do I find a venue?
How do I get people in the room?
What if no one comes?
What if I fail… publicly?
Suddenly, what felt exciting became overwhelming. I was swimming in a sea of “what ifs” with no clue which direction to swim.
After far too long spiralling in circles, I made one decision that changed everything:
I asked for help.
I hired an events coach—someone I had trained with before and admired deeply. She had done exactly what I wanted to do. She had walked the path I was terrified to take. And she looked me in the eye and said, It’s completely possible.
Every week, we met.
Every week, I arrived overwhelmed.
And every week, she gave me just 2–3 simple steps to move forward.
I remember thinking, That’s it? Surely I’m missing something.
But she always reminded me, No. This is enough. Do this first.
And little by little, step by step, the dream I had talked myself out of began to take shape.
Then came February 2015.
I stood in front of a room full of women, kicking off an event I had built entirely from scratch.
I remember the drive there—my stomach in knots, asking myself, Why am I doing this?!
And I remember the drive home—buzzing with energy, thinking, That was incredible.
That day didn’t just change my business.
It changed my belief in what’s possible.
Here’s what I learned:
Our dreams don’t feel impossible because they are impossible.
They feel impossible because we think we have to figure them out alone.
We get stuck in overthinking.
We drown in the details.
We convince ourselves we’re not ready.
But what if the path is actually… simple?
Not easy, but simple.
A series of small, manageable steps that move you forward—one week, one action, one moment at a time.
I don’t even remember what I paid my coach. But I do remember how it felt to walk into that room on event day—with clarity, courage, and a dream fulfilled.
So if you’re sitting on a vision that scares you…
If you can see it but don’t know how to start…
If you’re waiting for the perfect moment…
This is your sign.
Reach out for help.
Take the first step.
Do the next right thing.
Your future self will look back and say, I’m so glad you didn’t give up.
I’m cheering you on.
Much love,
Casey xx
